The Progenix Research ethical review process will include the following elements:

• An ethical review panel including the Chief Executive, Operations Director, representatives of the animal care staff, a veterinary surgeon and a member of staff not directly involved with animal work, will be established.
• The ethical review panel will agree criteria for (standard) study types which do not require individual cost/benefit assessment. Any studies falling outside these criteria will be subject to review and acceptance by the ethical review panel before any animal work begins.
• Panel members will regularly inspect facilities and conduct retrospective reviews of completed studies to ensure compliance with the 3 Rs and with the internal system for cost/benefit assessment.
